Consulting and investments

Most companies sell far below what they could.

We rebuild how a company sells. We invest, selectively, in businesses whose operations we already understand.

The distance between a good product and a good year is structural.

Aureon works on the commercial machinery of a business: how it positions itself, what it charges, who does the selling, and what happens in the hours between a first conversation and a signature. We do the work beside the people who will keep running it after we go. Where a company fits something we already understand from the inside, we also invest.

Consulting

The commercial side of a company, taken apart and rebuilt.

This is the larger half of the firm. Four disciplines, usually bought separately and usually failing separately, planned and run as one piece of work.

Sales strategy

Who you are to the market, who is worth your time, what you sell them and what it costs. Most price lists are the residue of old negotiations rather than a decision anyone made.

  • Positioning that survives contact with a competitor
  • Target accounts defined by fit, not by size
  • Offer design and the logic that holds it together
  • Price architecture, including what you stop discounting

Process

Time and margin leave a company quietly, at the handovers. We follow the real process rather than the documented one and take out what is costing you without earning anything.

  • The route from first contact to signed, measured end to end
  • Handover points where responsibility currently disappears
  • Approvals and tooling that slow the commercial side down
  • Margin leakage, traced to where it starts

Sales training

We coach the people who sell and the people who manage them. A seller improves for a quarter. A manager who runs the right routines keeps the improvement.

  • Running a conversation that earns the next one
  • Objections answered rather than deflected
  • Closing, and the discipline of asking
  • Management routines that make performance repeatable

Recruiting

A sales hire made against a job board template is a coin toss. We write the profile out of the strategy work first, then go and find the person it describes.

  • Profiles drawn from the structure, not from the last person who left
  • Search, screening and assessment against that profile
  • Onboarding that reaches productivity on a stated date
  • Handover of the method to your own hiring managers

A strategy nobody can execute is a document.

Investments

We look at a business the way an operator does.

The smaller and more private half of the firm. We advise on private equity and venture capital positions, and we read a target through its operations rather than through its spreadsheet.

  • Advisory on holdings. Support through private equity and venture capital positions, from first look to the questions that come after a stake is taken.
  • Access for existing clients. Selected opportunities are shared with the mandates we already work with. There is no public process and no list to join.
  • Operational assessment. What the company actually does in a working week, who holds it together, and what breaks first if it doubles.

Nothing on this page is an offer, a solicitation, or investment advice. Aureon Group LLC does not provide regulated investment advisory services.

One way of working, whatever we were called in for.

Every engagement runs the same four movements. The company changes. The order does not.

01

Read

Weeks inside the business, on the numbers and in the conversations, watching what happens between a lead and a payment.

02

Decide

The target structure, the price architecture, the profile of the people. Agreed with those who will have to live inside it.

03

Build

We stay for the work. The process runs, the sellers are trained, the hires are made, and the first cycles close under the new structure.

04

Withdraw

Your people run it. We fall back to a reviewing rhythm or leave altogether. A client who still needs us is a failed engagement.

We are measured by what holds after we leave.

Operators, not advisers.

We have built and run the things we recommend. Every recommendation arrives with the name of the person who will help you implement it.

One line of accountability.

Whoever ran the diagnosis stays on the engagement. Nothing is handed down a chain once the work is won.

We take fewer clients than we could.

Capacity is the constraint we protect, and it is the reason the work holds. We would rather decline a mandate than staff it thinly.

Tell us what is not working.

One email is enough to begin. We ask a number of questions before we propose anything, and some of them are uncomfortable.
